Featuring a rattle carved into the center of the plate and adorned by a bright yellow bow - this whimsical plate announces your baby's name and birth date in a richly colored band encircled by bright polka dots.

Every plate is made from scratch, starting with a lump of clay on the potter's wheel. After the clay dries a bit, and colors are painted, the child's name and birth date are carefully carved into the still damp piece, before it is allowed to dry. It is then placed in the kiln for the first of two firings. After glazing with lead-free glazes, the piece undergoes its final firing in the kiln to a temperature of 2200 degrees.
